She needs this.

Let’s give her a great start now, so she can make a difference later.

We have the chance to build a centre that will give children an incredible early years experience and fill a critical need for childcare in our area. And we need your help.

The Bridge Educational Society, which established the Okanagan Waldorf School near Lumby, recognized an opportunity to give young families access to exceptional early childhood education on the same enchanting and enriching rural campus as the school.

Driven by this mission, the society has secured $750,000 in grants from the BC Ministry of Child & Family Development and Community Gaming to build an early years centre that will offer 63 much-needed spaces for infants, preschoolers and school-aged children. Set to open in the summer of 2019, the non-profit centre will soon be home to 6,250 square feet of space that will let children, families & the community thrive.

Your support will go such a long way.

what does the new early years centre

mean for you?

The Early Years Centre offers opportunities to:

  • Invest in a child care experience that will set these young people up for success and make a positive contribution to the community for generations
  • Support the construction of a facility (rather than operational expenses) that will serve the community for years to come
  • Support new jobs as we hire up to 10 people to join our team of early childhood educators
  • Contribute to the economic growth of the region as families are drawn to the area and businesses grow

The Early Years Centre offers opportunities to:

  • Foster your child’s lifelong love of learning in a home-like environment where wonder, nature, community, gardening and the arts come to life on a sprawling farm/forest property free of screens
  • Join our centre knowing we’re committed to being here for generations
  • Experience being part of the centre and Waldorf community, where we share, celebrate and take care of our special learning environment
  • Access all the same child care subsidies at a facility open to families throughout the area, including Lumby, Greater Vernon and Armstrong.

The Early Years Centre offers opportunities to:

  • Attract and retain workers who have young children and need access to reliable, high-quality care
  • Support and receive support from complementary businesses also able to thrive as young families move to and stay in the area

What a meaningful, lasting gift.
